Biography
– Alan Anderson I have been married for
thirty years to my best friend and partner, Terry. We have three grown
children. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, and
expanding my model train collection. I have approximately
thirty years of experience as a pastor; spiritual care advisor and other
services to people in the
I am a firm
believer in lifelong learning. I
periodically involve myself in upgrading and improving my skills and knowledge
through various courses such as marriage preparation; and, (PREP: the
Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program). My involvement in
wedding ceremonies stems from my desire to help couples form lasting
marriages. This is a reason for naming
the website forevermarry.com. As we
work on the ceremony together we also hope that you as a couple will form a
strong foundation for a marriage that will stand the test of time. This of course, depends on the work the
couple is willing to put into this special and profound relationship. Even after the ceremony is long over I am
willing to assist couples in the enriching of their married life.
I am licensed to marry
through the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches of That’s who I am, and
here’s what I offer. When you plan your ceremony with me, I will ask you as a
couple to think about," What are
we saying to people as we become a married couple today?” Such a question will be the focus and will
set the pace in order to present a ceremony that you will find meaningful and
memorable.
After
almost thirty years of working with people it is my intention to help couples
form a lasting and cherished marital relationship. Your wedding day should be a highlight of
your life, so don’t settle for an ordinary ceremony that you just slap
together. Allow your ceremony to draw
attention to the love and devotion you share with each other. Let it speak as an example of a
relationship of faith, hope and love that those who witness your wedding will
be influenced by. The final result will
be up to you as you build and form a marriage that will last the rest of your
lives, or in other words one that will last forever.
